Moscow’s WTC, Russia’s largest and only business centre offering a full range of services and facilities to date, has been leading the Russian market for the past 30 years.
It was built in the 1970s as the first and only such centre in the country; its founding fathers were the leaders of the Soviet Union and the United States at that time, Leonid Brezhnev and Richard Nixon.
Today the WTC honours both traditional and modern business requirements.
Its tenants and loyal customers are over 500 of the largest and best-known national and international corporations, which value the centre’s traditional quality services and the security it provides.
Moscow’s WTC occupies an area of 200,000 sq m (2.15mn sq ft) and includes two top class office towers; a convention centre with a 1,200 seat capacity, a press hall and a conference room. It also houses a 575-room deluxe Crowne Plaza Hotel; an apartment hotel Mezhdunarodnaya-2, with a total area of 49,000 sq m (over 500,000 sq ft), and a parking lot with a 1,300 car capacity.
It also has a business centre, exercise and health clubs, a variety of shopping outlets and restaurants. The WTC’s tenants can take advantage of over 500 professional business services offered by the centre or choose to relax without leaving the area.
Moscow’s WTC is a full member of the World Trade Centres Association (WTCA), which includes 300 WTCs all around the globe. It is one of the 72 centres whose services have been certified by WTCA as meeting its quality standards as well.
In February 1998, WTC Moscow successfully passed WTCA certification, after being assessed on seven categories of services and was awarded a silver quality certificate.
Moscow’s WTC is also a member of the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA), a global convention industry network. It is a member of the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC) and of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
In 2008, the WTC’s main auditorium, known as the Congress Hall, hosted 690 major events attended by over 350,000 business leaders, scientists, politicians and public figures from 70 countries.
Over its 30 years in operation, the WTC has been the venue of more than 9,000 events. Its visitors and customers included presidents and prime ministers of many countries, and the world’s most renowned politicians including Margaret Thatcher, Henry Kissinger and Helmut Schmidt.
Even the Manchester United football team stayed at the WTC when they played Chelsea in Moscow.
Therefore, the WTC at 12 Krasnopresnenskaya is the best location for businesses in Moscow.
